Mitsubishi Evo X tuning by Vivid Racing

The Mitsubishi Evo X you see in these pics is one of the first ones ordered in Arizona, back in February, and it was modified by the tuning company Vivid Racing, who claims this is the first fully built Evo X in the United States. One thing’s for sure, it looks really good.
The tuning program includes a full Test & Service body kit by Valdi Sport of Japan with a carbon fiber APR GTC rear wing and black IForged 3pc wheels. Mechanical upgrades include JIC Magic FL-TAR coilover suspension with Agency Power rear adjustable control arms, while under the hood Vivid fitted the engine with an Agency Power twin scroll GT35R turbo kit, Agency Power carbon fiber engine cover cold air intake kit, upgraded injectors and fuel pump, all that taking the engine’s power output up to 650 hp.
For those of you that like this car, you’ll get a chance to see it live at this year’s SEMA Show in Vegas, starting November 4. Meanwhile, check out more photos after the jump.

LINK table system hopes to give Chinese industry a boost.

On May 14th, as part of the Hong Kong International Art Fair, designer Michael Young's 'LINK' table system will debut.

'LINK' is an inventive system designed to capture and exemplify the strengthening of ties between local industry and design. It also demonstrates that local industries can build their brands through quality and creativity.

...'LINK' is also being produced in very limited quantities as a table concept in co-operation with advanced southern Chinese aluminum and carbon fiber component manufacturers. Essentially a table to begin with, LINK can be grown organically into vast structures.

Sharky: Shary Tea Bag Holder

I’m not sure what the deal with sharks is this week, but after finding the fun “There’s a Shark in my Soup Bowl” design, I’ve come across another whimsical use of a shark fin for a tea bag holder from designer Pablo Matteoda . Sharky holds your tea leaves in a floating metal fin container while slowly dispersing tea leaf colors into the water creating a shark attack like scene. Fun, but also somewhat terrifying.

A cute little robot that may save your life one day!

Robot/People art by Kacie Kinzer

" In New York, we are very occupied with getting from one place to another. I wondered: could a human-like object traverse sidewalks and streets along with us, and in so doing, create a narrative about our relationship to space and our willingness to interact with what we find in it? More importantly, how could our actions be seen within a larger context of human connection that emerges from the complexity of the city itself? To answer these questions, I built robots! "

3d by Photoshop CS4

"Photoshop can be used for much more than pixel pushing these days. Photoshop CS4 Extended not only handles 3D models, but it has a sophisticated timeline animation mode that lets you keyframe changes over time. In this tutorial, we will open a 3D residential model in Photoshop and create a 30 second flyaround animation that displays a moving cross-sectional plane (see final animation here)." to find out more...
